Still looking for Andrew Benett who sailed around alone

What can I do or where can I look for a person who sailed alone from London to Caribbean in 1984. I have been looking for him in every site, newspaper, etc, searching for news on lonely sailors. Jesus! Is cruising alone such an ordinary thing that nowhere it is referred? His yacht was Marguerite and he had his boat repaired here in Portugal after a storm. He lived in London and he is probably in his seventies now. I would like so much to know if he is still alive.

Lidia....if he sailed around alone I thought he might be listed somewhere with the Slocum Society, but he is listed nowhere in the records....nor his boat's name.....

Thank you very much Paladin. I'm going to search for information where you referred but it's incredible how it is difficult to find information about him. I thought that on the net it would be easier but it isn't. I have been to London but the company he owned had been sold so I lost his only contact. I have tried to search changing the spelling of the boat. instead of marguerite - margarita and so on.
