This thread was in the bilge, and ought to be here. Ships cats are people too. Besides, I wanted to experiment with moving whole threads.
OOPS! Images have to be repasted.

OK, so at first glance it might not seem dignified to don all that party glitter, but I think this little beast, which has more sea miles behind her than many on this forum, would appreciate a good run ashore. She has crunched mouse skulls from Faial and Mahon, and enjoyed the white sand beach on Islas Cies as only a cat can. (Went ashore in a dory, walking the perimeter of the gunnel in impatience as she was being rowed in, stepping over the rowlocks in her circumnavigation. Jumped ashore dryfoot onto the the endless catbox of the beach, ah paradise!)
Where's the tuna, dammit!

She's a puzzle. I never knew a cat that would walk away from fresh-cooked shrimp and shred your leg for canned tuna or sardines in mustard sauce. Fish chowder and beer is impossible to enjoy by yourself, too. She likes the beer, but it wants to be dark beer. I think she's a dog.
