for once again being so kind as to share your great state with my wife and I. We had a wonderful time.

I don't suppose that it would ever be practical, but if I could have a small house somewhere, for just my wife and I to enjoy, or for my kids to use as a place to getaway, the quiet side of MDI would do it for me. I absolutely love the place. God willing, we'll be back next fall.

We were up to Bar Harbor two weeks ago. It sure is a nice time of year to visit. We did the package deal that the Bar Harbor Motel runs in the Spring and Fall. You get two nights lodging with a steak or lobster dinner for two on both nights for only $152. You have a choice of three restaurants. We had pretty nice weather, climbed up to the old fire tower on Beech Mountain. It was our 17th anniversary so we left the kids with my dad and made it a romantic getaway. Highly reccomended. :D

Next time you are in Bar Harbor , check out The College of the Atlantic! great location, veiw unparalled as a college campus goes , but the school has much to offer visitors too,especially when it involves Acadia National Park!

Thanks, guys. This was our 22nd anniversary trip. We have been traveling to MDI for the last eight years.

When we first started taking these trips we traveled far afield, all the way from Kittery to Calais (and on up into New Brunswick). The last few trips we have pretty much been content to stay on the island. It is just such a beautiful place. I have hiked in Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, all over the southern mountains. Give me ANP anytime. It's the best place that I know.

Thanks again, and if any of you guys are ever in my part of the country, please let me know. I can give you a ride on a pretty cool little schooner.
