It's wiggly as hell and it still won't come off!
I've been up at Rick Prose's (he was desperate) helping(?) him get caught up. On ths particular boat (a Boothbay One Design) we had to remove the rubrails. This particular section, about 10' long was utterly disconnected from the hull - turned out to be the Kirby paint. It had such a tenacious grip along the bottome of the rail at one point that it was not about to let go.
We painted, varnished, launched, took down covers, de-motored, "navigated" in the fog ("So as long as I keep the land to starboard I'll be OK?") "Land, what land!"  Obviously (sorry Victor) I made it. From too early in the morning to too late in the evening, neither mud, mosquitoes, blackflies, cold, damp, heat, humidity, broken electrical connections, seized shifter linkages, nor lack of critical items in inventory, slowed progress. ;)
It turned out it was also graduation week for one family memember, so there was a bit of partying. No one thought to tell me, so I couldn't deliver a celebratory salute. (Maybe there was a message there, LOL).
Also, Rick's SWMBO is due to receive a heroism honor from State of Maine. Event. (http://wiscassetnewspaper.maine.com/2004-08-26/double_murder.html)
Award (http://www.mainelincolncountynews.com/index.cfm?ID=12269)
Fine folks, the Proses.
