Time for a "lighten up folks."

This is obviously not a serious rant concerning epoxies ( and here let's have an aha, gotcha! for all who took it seriously ), but merely a gambit to evaluate the mood of the public on the subject. The Committee has Its Reasons and Purposes....
Further, let us remember that there are epoxies of varying qualities, just as the quality of oats varies. Prime quality oats cost a certain price, while those that have been through the horse cost a little less (getting back to the subject of the thread).

Elly is a boat!!!!!! beautiful no doubt but a boat none the less... Aroused over a boat?????? AROUSED????.... confused over a boat?..... mmm okay I can let that go I think!... moanin on a Saturday night?? AROUSED AND MOANING????
mmmmmmm I will put my "smart" thinking cap upon me curly headed noggin and look into this problem... EUREKA!!!... The answer to this particular conundrum is... I think the sexual dysfunction relative to woodenboat addiction factor has just kicked in! Actually this is a very profound and curious side affect of this addiction... sufferers can be most often found glued to their computer screens surfin all the boatporn sites or else cruisin the marinas drooling all over woodenbrightwork or even if they have them nearby they can be found most often peerin around doorways into boatsheds and other places known to construct or store woodenboats...
Anyone suffering the ravages are prone to be seen dancing a wild eyed mad hatter jig at the sight of a firm rounded transom excessive drool will be seen at a passing sketch of some exquisite lines and the mess they make can be quite attrocious when someone even themselves post photographs of boatporn...
Classic cases of SDRWBAF are exemplified by Roger above who has classic syptoms of drooling over catboats and schooners along with a terrible fixation with Ellys...
I on the other hand have no such problem  ... I can stop this any time I choose... I just know I can tongue.gif ... no worries... errrr... can someone please explain why my computer has 55 separate windows open showing various boat forums boatporn sites brokers sites builders sites... I do not have a problem! I am not a woodenboat addict... I am not... I can contol this drooling... I just know I can... I think... maybe... could be... I have no woodenboat addiction honest!
I think maybe it is time to be worried!!!..... AROUSED AND MOANING???????
Take it easy

We haven't had a good, long-running spoof for quite a while. Some of us older codgers remember the days when the Forum sparkled electrically with the abortive revolution of the non-boat related bunch, aka the bilge rats; the aspirations of Funky Chicken for the presidency of the Forum; the pitched battles concerning the primacy of Building/Repair vs other categories capable of fomenting nonsense; and the wastage of acres and acres of cyberspace.

Hey Dave...
What the heck are those boats in the image above?
Pretty yeasty. Reminds me of the time when I first moved to Seattle in the early 70's. People were living in half sunk boats around Lake Union. Boat and decks listing to one side. Then and before was a time when you had time to think in Seattle. I knew a guy that rented a cabin in North Lake Union. Roughly across from Blanchards. $10 a month in the middle sixties. That community is almost gone now, eaten up by the University and freeway contruction.
ten bucks won't buy you much more than a couple snooty coffees. Forget paying anything less than $1000 rent for a house.
Things have changed; mores the pity.

Has something gone wrong with Funky Chicken? IIRC, he used to dance with both legs, but in the latest performance as shown by Capt. Jake, he is only kicking one. Perhaps his failure to gain the Presidency of the Forum has something to do with it. It's sad to see former celebrities fade.
On another note, has anyone heard from Karakorum Distributors concerning when the interdicted shipments of genuine gronicles might resume? The supply of genuine gronicles from the Outer Mongolian rainforest is critically low, and if the situation does not improve soon we will be forced more and more to use unsatisfactory substitutes.

Of what are (were?) these gentlemen the Board of Directors? We have the Cabal, with members East and West; the all-powewrful Committee, membership unknown; and the super-secret group that perpetuates the myth that there really is a Mr. Cleek. Is there, or has there been, a Secret Board, and if so, what does (did) they do?
Also, if the chairman of the Cabal is "late, revered", what is being done to replace him? I suppose the logical succession would be either East or West, but who is to choose? Or does this vacancy call for fresh blood, and if so, whose?
Our inquiring minds cannot long tolerate the lack of answers to these pressing questions. We must get organized, lest a former putative leader (think Funky Chicken or one of the Bilge Rats) gets wind of this political vacuum and descends upon our august Forum with a renewed campaign.

O&O Great Lakes...
There is a moratorium on the selection of a new Cabal Leader until a sufficient period of mourning has passed for our late lamented, O&O Midwest, Norm Messenger.
In the mean time keep the faith and polish those gronicles. :D

O&O West:
Of course. Since the proper mourning period for O&O Midwest should last for years, we'll just have to dig in our heels and defend against all attempts at usurpation. You are aware that over-polishing of gronicles can lead to deterioration of the follicles, so easy does it.
