Simmons Sea-Skiff Expo 2002

At last weekend's wooden boat show at Cape Fear Community College, Wilmington, NC, there were 5-6 Simmons Sea-Skiffs on display.
These were both originals and reproductions. There is a 20' Simmons under construction in the boatbuilding shop.
Alex Slaunwhite, one of the principal organizers of Simmons Sea-Skiff Expo 2002, Sept. 6-8, had his boat there and told me at least 25 are registered for the Expo 2002.
The big day will be Saturday, 7 September. There will be a pig-pickin' dinner, boat parade, talks, etc. Caps and T-shirts will be for sale.

Great boats,

I would recommend anyone to try the inboard outboard configuration.. it's got great balance and feel.

I built similar / directly inspired.., for myself, last year while in Slovenija ~ with FRP running flat and plywood topsides..

Good looking, good handling boats.. I would post a picture but to be honest I don't know how to :confused: !!
