Hi PSEBS,
My wife and I will be in Port Townsend on Sunday of Labor Day weekend. Unfortunately, we can not be there for the PT Boat Fest. So, where can we see wooden boats when we are there?
We do plan to be in Victoria on Friday and Saturday and there is a classic boat festival then.
So much to see, so little time.
Thanks.
John M
Where to find wooden boats in PT? Just about anywhere in or close to the water. Try the haul-out/repair area on the right as you make the final approach to the "downtown" area of PT. Or any marina, particularly on the North end of town. Chances are that many of the PT attendees might be in Victoria when you're there. You will really enjoy the Victoria wooden boat festival. Alot of people enjoy it more than the PT version. Hope you already have a place to stay in Victoria. The place will be packed. Have fun, take lots of pictures. Sounds like we might have another Formite visitor in our midst soon. I feel another meeting of the PSEBS coming on.

RGM;
A PSEBS meeting already in planning to meet the New Zealand boat designer John Welsford in PT during the festival. See "PSEB meeting with John Welsford" on the People & Places forum
