It's official. I've just had an email from Shane, which Jody (having hustled the wild man off to bed already) has given me permission to post.

Well guys hows it going?... Jo said I should email you so.... Ive got a few minutes while the lovely possumpoop runs down to the chemist for the drugs, so I reckon its time to just say gidday... I havent gone onboard yet, I intended to... I reckon you people flamin well haunt me!... But that will have to wait for tomorrow... Its enough that Im home for now.

That bloody place wears you out I can tell you... flamin exhausted aint the word for it! oh well another bump in the road of life I guess... well maybe a small dip in the road?... a pothole?... oh flamin hell be like that then!... Its a flamin trench in the road! Happy?!! geez I reckon I would have made a great ANZAC with all the flamin trenches were climbin out of lately!... well what was it that old Ned Kelly said just before they hung him?... Such is life... It will get better.

Some flamin stupid things have happened while I was away... and I know I could get pretty pissed of about some of them... but I dont know if its worth it... I reckon its just great to be breathing and to hell with anything else!... I'll sort the bastards tomorrow... or the next day... Seems they thought they were doing what they reckoned was right but buggar that shit! oh buggar it... Im heading for bed... will get onboard tomorrow I reckon.

Im not going to try to answer all the emails... too many of the buggars!... Just let everyone know they make my day... what a bunch of mates! Humbling experience I can tell you for a fact.

Thank everyone for bein there for possum and the hoons.

Take it easy
Shane

What else is there to say, except, Welcome home mate.

Welcome home, Shane. It feels good, I know.

Re all the other stuff - remember it's you (in your case, LOL) that allows others to get you po'd. There are few things that one can't control, and one's response to the actions of others is not one of them. Getting all worked up is not worth it...

Give your's all a big hugh for us.

Best wishes to you Shane, and to Jody, Tiffany, and the whole family. I tried to e-mail a few days ago, but I mailed from the office and your spam filter got me.

Your mind and spirit, as I suspect you believe, are a vital part of your health. Keep these strong and all will come right.

Dingo, it's good to know you're back home. Take care of yourself. Your family just wants you well and healthy. For their sake as much as yours, listen to the doctors and get well. I've never even met you and I've been thinking about you and your family since I read the news Monday morning. During this same time period I got word that my 76 year old mother has just had an emergency sextuple bypass surgery. My parents live a thousand miles from here and there's nothing I can do to help except call and pray. As difficult as it is for you, your family is going through a lot of stress along with you. I just wanted you to know that I'm another person out there thinking and praying for you and your family.
