Hi all,We're looking into buying a self steering system, perhaps 'Sailomat' or 'Monitor'.We have a 46ft yawl with fairly low mizzen boom but from what I've read they can be adapted. We're looking for some feedback from anyone whose had experience with these(or any other brand). Your comments will be very helpful(as always). thanks. IB

I would suggest perusing back issues of Practical Sailor magazine. Quite sure they have done a review of these.

Hi Islandboy,
spent many years sailing a 41' ketch with an old Aries and know many others who have done the same with great success - I loved my Aries and you can still get parts (don't need them often) from the very nice daughter of the designer-the sailomats, monitors etc of the world also have lots of sea miles-you'll never regret having a windwave!!
