Hi,
I have been in contact with the company that manufacturers the 8"x 16hole paper for Fein orbital sanders. They require a 500 pc buy which is more than I could use in the near future. If there were enough Fein users interested I would be glad to put together a group buy. I do not have pricing yet and this, of course will determine if the project is worth pursuing.

Thanks,all, hope you are warm!

David...I don't have the big Fein sander, but I do have the MultiMaster...and at least a dozen other forumites have it too. Does this company sell papers for it?

David, I also have the multi-master type and would be interested in paper for it. Their sandpaper is good but very expensive. I would be interested in a group buy.

Klingspor (http://www.wodworkingshop.com) sells a ten pack of the 8" x16 hole disks for $6.50 to $8, and 50 disk packs for about $20.

I've been using Klingspor disks and papers for many years in a professional capacity, and it's gotta be one of the toughest papers out there if you go for the E-weight stuff.

I use a lot of their 80 grit disks for my PC 333, and you can hardly wear the stuff out--after hours of use on hard epoxy, it still feels sharp and will work on wood better than some papers when new. I almost never throw a used disk away, I stick the used ones on a Velcro hand sanding block, and get yet more use out of it.

Donn, they also sell the triangle disks for the Fein, about $14 for a 50 pack. Can't comment on whether that's a bargain or not.

David,
I have the big fein sander too and would be very interested in doing a group purchace. I am good on 220 I think I still have 100+ sheets. All other heavier grits I'd be up for a share. Let me know.

Hi,
I have sent a request for more info to the sandpaper company. As for the multimaster paper, these guys look like thay specialize in large industrial applications, so I don't expect to have much luck with the triangle paper stock.
I'll let you all know as soon as I have the numbers.

David, like Mike said,,,Klingspor has very good disks at a good price. I have a multimaster, a 6" and an 8" . I use the E weight on the 6" and they cost about $30 a box of 50. the ones for the 8" are only about $20 for 50. Good Luck
