Wow- I've ordered numerous products from them, and always wondered what the "intro" kit was really like. Great products and prices, fast to ship. Now if they will only come out with the ultimate boat screw- the bronze sheet rock screw!

conrads...this wasn't the intro kit...this is in their clearance section...10# boxes of mixed fasteners. I got 2 boxes, and it was almost entirely screws. I sorted them into the tackle boxes.

Summer weekends are always slow when it's as hot and humid as it was last weekend. I hid in the air conditioning and...well...sorted screws. :D

Why buy them when you can find them on the street? I was over in Port Townsend with my sister and niece the other day and while watching the 15 month old toddle around, found about 1/2 dozen silicon bronze screws on the sidewalk, between center for wooden boats, and that great used bookstore. Somebody must have holes in their pockets...

Shucks :( I just went to McFeely's site and I think I missed this offer! I was ready to buy 2 or 3 lbs for myself.

I just checked out the McFeely's catalog and I'm intrigued by their products. Next project around the house will get the square drive screws. I've been looking for an inexpensive but good quality machinist's square, but no one around here sells them. I got one from McFeely's for $13.

Scott..you'll like the squaredrives. I've used big galvanized squaredrives for several boathouse and outdoor projects in the past 2 years, and they work great...especially with a power driver.

Donn,

Do you know if the McFeely's finish screws are good for interior trim, casment, etc.? I don't have a power nailer, and I would like to use screws if I could.

Scott..I got a good number of finish screws in the batch I sorted, and they certainly look as if they would work. The head is only slightly larger than the square socket, and only slightly larger than a comparable finish nail's head.

McFeely's is a neat outfit. Their catalog has filled my box for years, but I haven't ordered too much from them.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the coolest product they sell, by far:

http://store3.yimg.com/I/squaredrive_1698_5554907

which is a must-have item these days for those of us who still occasionally use our manually operated screw guns. It is a bit-holder for yankee drivers, available in all three yankee sizes.

Happy shopping!

Whoa, that came out alot bigger than on their page!
