I've spent some time on the Web looking for information on small marine diesels. For the most part, it's been a frustrating experience. I've just come across a new source for these engines and thought some of you might be interested.

Before going into the amateur boat plans business, boat designer Jacques Mertens worked on diesel installations-. He's just added Nannidiesel and Kubota diesels to his product line. I mention it here because his new Web pages (http://www.boatbuildercentral.com/diesel/) contain a lot more information than most, and his support has always been great for his other products.

I have no commercial interest in this site, and I've never bought an engine there. I am a happy customer of their's, though, and appreciate the online information. Hey, buy stuff from them or don't, it's all the same to me. I am concerned that this is tap-dancing near the "commercial posts" rule, but this is far from the first post on WBF referring folks to a commecial Website for information so I figure I'm good.

Steven,

Yep, haven't been there in awhile. Seems my membership expired while I was away.

I think the "commercial posts" rule just means you can't promote your own business. I don't think there is any issue with pointing people to other businesses. If there were, the whole Resources/Product Search catagory would be fairly pointless.
