Are there any yacht brokers similar to Cannell, Payne & Page or Baum & König (a focus on well-built & properly cared-for wooden boats) on the US left coast?

Mahina Yacht brokerage in Bainbridge (Winslow?) is the main area brokerage for wooden sail craft. I don't think their brokerage can speak for the condition of any of the boats but they have had some nice ones. I bought Victoria through them. I've also known some people who have also had less than stellar experiences so as always, be careful. www.mahinayachts.com (http://www.mahinayachts.com) The other broker that is doing more wood boat sales and has had some very nice craft is Dock Street Brokers. I don't know much about them but boy have they had some sweet stuff over the last year. www.dockstreetyachts.com (http://www.dockstreetyachts.com) . They also have a commercial vessel side at www.dockstreetbrokers.com (http://www.dockstreetbrokers.com)

My other recommendation is to make sure to look in Canada. Victoria came out of Victoria BC and was both a wonderful and well cared for boat, and a great deal. Let us know what you're looking for.

Good Luck,
Jamie

Look up French Creek Boat Sales north of the border. I remember seeing quite a bit of good stuff in their lists.

A good place to start is the Northwest Yacht Brokers Association.

Also check out

http://www.yachtworld.com/

Most of the yacht brokers around here that are on the 'net are hosted on YachtWorld. "Advanced Search" lets you specify hull materiel, city, state, region, country, length, etc.
