Need -- fast -- to rent or buy a new/used trailer
in New England area, big enough for a short haul of a 30' Chris Craft, weighing about 8000 lbs.
Old wooden boat now being rebuilt on Block Island, but the house where work is being done has just been sold and the boat has to get out of there asap.
Anyone know of someone who could bail us out in a
hurry? Could arrange to pick up/return a trailer pretty much anywhere between, say, Stamford CT and Portland ME. or a little beyond.

get a local boat hauler to move it.
The article in latest WB had some pretty reasonable numbers for short moves of boats.
Even if it's 300 - 400 think of the time savings over going to who knows where to pick up and return the trailer.
