Hi all, I am looking for old boat show programs, such as for the Chicago and New York boat shows. These were the largest boat shows for many years. Specifically, I am trying to find out when GRADY-WHITE BOATS of Greenville, NC first displayed their products at the large national shows. The corporate name was "G & W BOATS, INC." when they started up in 1959. They origianlly made plywood lapstrake outboard and I/O motor boats.

They were NOT listed amongst the vendors at the 1959 NY show nor at the 1960 Chicago show (I have programs for these).

Does anyone out there have programs for other years that they can check for me??? This request is not limited to the NY and Chicago shows. Any assistance will truly be appreciated.

I have an email from a gentleman that was a Grady-White dealer (via www.aomci.org). (http://www.aomci.org).) He saw their boats for the first time at the 1960 NY boat show. The firm was incorporated on 14 December 1959 as "G & W Boats, Inc." using the trade name "Grady White Boats."

I still want to see written evidence of their first displys at the major boat shows, probably 1960 at the earliest.

This is for the book I am writing on the history of Thompson Boat and all her various incarnations and spin-offs, inlcudig Grady White Boats.
