Time has come that I have to have a moisture meter of some form.
Victorious is as always desperatly short of funds so cost is very important.
But if I buy one at all it needs to be effective!
Anyone have any opinions/recomendations ref what to buy and where?
Thanks all
;)

What kind of material are you going to use it on?

I have a Tramex moisture meter that is used for getting the moisture content of fiberglass hulls and also wood. Tramex makes a number of different models, the one I have was about $350.00 bucks and I think that was one of the cheaper ones.

Tramex makes a good meter, and several are reasonably priced. You want to talk to them and tell them what you're doing with it - they'll tell you which model(s) will do what you want, and either sell you one or tell you where you can get it.

Lee Valley has a cheap but effective pin-type for about $80 CDN.It is very tough, ours still works.
We also have an Electrophysics pinless digital(CT100),it worked well too,but doesn't bounce well  .About $250CDN
Both are on the web.
