Does anyone have a source for brass carrige bolts? I need some in 3/16" or 1/4" x 3" long.

I think you mean bronze, brass has no place in a boat. I would suggest Jamestown distributors in Jamestown Rhode Island. I'm going to need some soon myself. Good luck, mitchell in CT

1/4" carriage bolts in bronze are carried by most of the supply houses, like Jamestown. No. 10 (3/16") are harder to find, the most reliable source being wood canoe builders. See:

http://www.wcha.org/builders/index.cgi

where you can find a number of builders who stock the smaller carraige bolts.

Cheers,
Dan
