I'm about to buy a Pete Culler designed, Bruce Northrop built 36' gaff rigged ketch cutter. I need a necessary evil - a competent surveyor. Stress the word "competent".
My experience is that not all surveyors are created equal - I have seen utter incompetence (coupled with association membership) as well as competence (not associated
with association membership.

The bottom line is that I have no questions about the boat, but need a survey to satisfy the lender and insurer.

Does anyone know of a competent wooden boat surveyor with integrety?

My apologies to any decent surveyors who read this - I only have my unfortunate experiences to go by. I mean no harm to you.

Thanks
