Hello,
I have a 1956 Finecraft, 16' plywood/mahogany cuddy cabin. I was told that these boats were only built from '56 through '59, at Auldubay (sp?) Boats, in Alderwood Manor, WA, although I haven't been able to confirm this. I have searched the web for info, and posted an inquiry in a boating newsgroup... to no avail.
I did see the brand mentioned in this forum, but only in passing. Speaking of passing, most, if not all of the old salts I knew in Seattle who could have helped me with the history of these boats have passed away. I would appreciate any info, history, brochures, links, etc. I could get.
Thank you,
Ken

Ken -
I have a bit of information on Finecraft, and photos of a 16' Finecraft express cruiser that was for sale about 5 years ago in Seattle. You can reach me at this e-mail address: Marty@islandboatshop.com
Would love to see photos of your Finecraft. They're quite similar to plywood cruisers built during the same period by Lady Clipper and Mansfield, both of Tacoma.
