I'd like to find somebody to make me a small spritsail for my 12' flatbottom skiff. This is a boat made of milled up driftwood and drywall screws using the timehonored edict "use what is available" . . . it seems innappropriate to hire some yacht sailmaker for this job.
Does anyone know of a sailmaker who's primary interest is in traditional materials and old - timey designs?
Thx,
RFV

I have THE perfect guy. Motivated, cheap, works when you want him to - YOU! Look for Sailrite in the Links off the WB homepage. If you can make a decent boat out of driftwood and sheetrock screws, you can make a sail.
On the other hand if the boat is as rough as it sounds like it might be (driftwood?), perhaps this is the appropriate place for that painters' tarp sail that keeps poping up here, or those flowered beadsheets your wife adores and you hate http://media5.hypernet.com/~dick/ubb/biggrin.gif
BTW, I see you're into flat bottoms.... No criticism implied here of course, but I prefer bubble-butts (an outstanding example [so to speak] would be Jennifer Lopez's) myself. To each his own.
