Several months ago I was looking for information about sailing canoes. Several people were kind enough to direct me to a specific website. Some serious personal business has kept me pre occupied and now I can't find the file I set up. Help!

Not exactly directly responsive, but you might consider getting in touch with the Forum's own Todd Bradshaw, sailmaker and author (wrote the book on the canoe rig available for purchase from the Forum's sponsor). Without having seen a copy of the book, from the review in WB a while ago, Todd is something of a recognized expert on sailing canoes. He is a frequent poster on the forum and you might pick his brain for more specific info.

I suppose you mean by "sailing canoe" one of those skinny things that can take a small sail.

If by chance you are looking for an International (Sailing) Canoe, IC's will give you one of the best rides in your life! I use to race them way back. An athletic event that I'm not sure I would be up to now though. This site has some great photos and make sure you look into the video clips.

Wooden Boat #119 p.80 has an article about Yackaboo, a beautiful sailing canoe. Might be worth a look. If I ever build one, that's the one, though I might forgo the sliding centerboard for a rudder. Check out Piccolo and MacGregor. Both are nice little sailing canoes. I think WB sells plans for both.
