Just found this on craig's list:

Vintage Huge Crescent #5 Table Saw - $525

http://b.im.craigslist.org/rh/2D/ErMDjNQVAXFJ3ueovFw0O0RsRzSe.jpg

This is a Crescent Model 5 manufactured between 1909 and 1912…listed in the Crescent catalog at 1675 pounds. That would make it about a ton with the motor. It is a dual arbor 14"–16" table saw with a tilt/slide table. It is a flat belt drive and has a 15 HP 3 phase 220/440 motor. The guy I bought it from said it never slowed down regardless of what they ran through it.

It's on skids. The wheels stay with me for the next too big thing I get.

I can deliver to Seattle for $100 - my cost of trailer rental and gas. Belt lacer available for $35.

Very nice. I believe the owner of Foss Furniture in Seattle collects, restores and uses some vintage Crescent machinery in his shop. Think I'll call him tomorrow and give him a heads-up on this one.

Thanks for the link. I have never looks at Craigs list before.

Though I didn't buy the saw, I found 3 slings of Honduran that I picked up today! smile.gif smile.gif

I will have to check it out more frequently. smile.gif
