I got hooked on ebay, nautical compasses.

Trying to find a couple of things

1. sources for parts for various manufactures.

2. books on compass repair,military etc.

3. Collector groups etc.

4. price guide for antique compasses

Hooked on Ebay's nautical antiques . . . yes, I know the feeling. You may want to contact Bill at Island Marine Instruments. I believe they're in Seattle. I've received excellent service from there and he seems quite knowledgeable about old compasses.
