View Full Version : LAGGING COMPOUND
Anybody know where I can get lagging compound? Brand name was Airbol {sp} and was manufactured by Bordens. Its a flexible waterbase coating, waterproof after painting, used in conjunction with a screen cloth and is great for boat decks. Thanks----gary

However, you can get Childers Chil-Seal (which is essentially the same stuff: it certainly smells the same) from foster products at http://www.fosterproducts.com/
Evidently, they make a marine grade flavor as well these days. From the documentation:
CHIL-SEAL CP-50A MV1 coating is a white coating which is also an excellent adhesive. It brushes easily and yet forms a tough film even over surfaces such as canvas. Being a water based material, it is safe to use; it does not attack plastic foams or other adhesives. Brushes and tools are easily cleaned with water. CHIL-SEAL CP-50A MV1 coating is fire resistive and contains a preservative for protection against mildew. It is also available in Marine Grade (CP-50A HV2 coating), which meets the new MIL-A-3316C specification.See http://www.fosterproducts.com/Images/childers_tds/CP-50A_MV1.pdf and http://www.fosterproducts.com/Images/childers_tds/CP-50A_HV2.pdf for more information than you'd like.
