View Full Version : finishing
We are a commercial millwork shop; I am currently doing some "exterior" paneling. This will be soffit panels of steamed beech on water proof medex; they will never actualy be exposed to direct sunlight or rain as they are soffit panels but they do nead an exterior grade clear satin sprayable finish that dries FAST. Drying fast seems to be the main stumbling block, any ideas?
Thanks.

Excuse my ignorance, but how does dry time get to be a problem here?

there is about 1500 sqft of panels; when each panel is sprayed it's set aside and the next one is sprayed; there are quite a few panels and it's nice if they don't have to be stored horizontal in a 100% dust free enviroment; thus the quick try time so you can handle and also sand them in relativly short order; like regular lacquer process.
