Pardon my ignorance, I'm still new at this game. I'm looking for a brass/bronze boweye for my Penobscot 14. West Marine has what I'm looking for, but only in stainless steel, which I think would look ugly.

I am not positve they are still in business. It has been several years since I last placed an order with them.
He has a very large number of old patterns for many types of hardware. Everything from deck blocks for small sailboats to windshield brackets for runabouts. I have purchased a bronze bow eye and bronze blocks from him in the past.
He used to sell rough castings as well as finished hardware. The rough castings are much cheaper and you can finish them to as high a degree of polish as you desire.
