Hi, I live in Fort Atkinson, am wondering where to go for marine plywood such as Okume. Is there a source in Madison, or Milwaukee? Or do I order from afar and have it shipped. Would also be interested in source of AIR DRIED or GREEN White cedar, White Ash, Cherry and Good Mahogany.

Thanks in advance

BVC Hardwood on the north side of Madison stocks some marine plywood. I don't know how their prices compare to others, but it's a fun place to look around. 5380 Farmco Dr. Madison (608) 244-8780

Hi again.

Somewhere I pushed the wrong key and didn't get to finish the above reply. Really feel dumb that I didn't do a search first. Todd, thought there might be another source other then BVC. I did get western red cedar from them to make strips for the cosine wherry I'm working on now. Jim thanks for your special post also.

well I'm down in middle Tennessee- so I have the same problem. I just order 32 sheets Okoume ply from M.L. Condon in white plains NY. About $220 for shipping which is no so bad I guess. Now I need a source of Mahogany lumber in my area- anybody have a clue?

Dale, there's a place in Scottsboro, AL - about two hour drive southeast from you, called Hardwood Center www.hardwoodcenter.com. (http://www.hardwoodcenter.com.) I go there sometimes on Saturday morning to get my mahogany. It's the kind of place that sells rough cut 8/4 (2") planks, etc. They have just about every species of wood there is.
