The biggest Boat I could Afford (book review)

I just finnished this book. It is about a bloke form NZ who buys a dingy that is being stored in Canada from a man in England to sail the east coast of the United States...need a score card?
anyhow his plain is to sail from Key west to Maine. I found the book interesting. anyone else read it or would like to?

Strewth!!! Hes bought a dinghy in Canada but plans to sail a plane to Maine??? :eek:

He moved it to florida in a U-haul truck then sailed it north...it all took place a couple of years ago...He say that he turned his radio off while on the Indian river to hear the sonic boom from the space shuttle landing... alas the space shuttled did not land in Florida that day :( .

I read the first couple chapters of this book while standing in front of the boat-related bookshelf at Barnes & Noble. I found it amusing, almost bought it. Maybe I'll read some more next time I, Cheap Bastard, drop by the bookseller's.

Damn it Chris!! :eek: I thought that sounded like a great yarn as you wrote it :D ... sigh corrections will now make the story soooo boring tongue.gif ah well ;) I would have been tempted had it been as you first discribed aahhh the madness of men buyin little boats in another country from a fella in yet another country and intending on sailin said boat in yet another country instead sailin a plane!! I mean think of the possibile story lines in that!! :D :cool:

Dingo did I mention that he started his great adventure from atop a rocky mountian? The boat he bought is named the wanderer alas it is not a pure boat it is made from materal that came straight from the devil himself.
