Searching in the mid-Atlantic region for a late 60's, early 70's Post or Egg Sportfish that needs restoration. If any of you folks have seen a lonely boat that needs a new home, drop me a line.

sorry about the reply delay. hadda do some searching.
I did see an Egg Harbor that had been sunk and was up for $900, but it must have been sold.
Try www.yachtworld.com (http://www.yachtworld.com) and search the listings ... put in for power, 34 to 200 feet (or whatever your minimum requirement is) and put in $100 to whatever your maximum price is.
You'll get a bunch of listings, the lower priced ones needing work. There are several Matthews and Pacemakers there, and occaisionaly an Egg Harbor. I've only seen one Post show up and it sold pretty quickly.
You can also try www.marinesource.com (http://www.marinesource.com) as well as www. usedboatsonline.com
Good luck! Let us know how the search goes!

I have a 1957 Wooden Palmer Johnson 36' SportFisherman that I am trying to sell for $28,500. We just returned from a 400 mile round trip to the Mississippi Gulf Coast in June, 2001 with no problems except for replacing an alternator. The boat is in very good condition. The bottom was completely recaulked and painted December, 2000. It has marine a/c and heat and sleeps 6 comfortably. It is powered by twin 440 Chrysler marine engines. The boat trim is mahogany with teak decking. This boat is a classic. There were 6 made in 1957 by Palmer Johnson, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. Five of them were sedan cruisers and 1 sportfisherman, which I have. If interested you can contact me at dieselduv@aol.com
