What I need to find is the base plate that the burners fit into. I've got a Shipmate 3-burner gimballing stove with oven circa 1950. One of the top burners leaks where the burner screws into the plate. The thread is stripped in the base.
Anybody have an idea where I could find one? This is the casting that bolts to the stove, and accepts the fuel hose in one side and the burner into its top surface.
Thanks,
Dave

Come on, Hughman... share it with all of us. I've got a Shipmate stove in storage with these HUGE cast copper alcohol burners. Apparently, these are where the "alcohol is dangerous" concept came from because, while they put out more heat than I've ever seen any alcohol stove produce, they also flare like nothing I've ever seen. I've kept it because it is such a beautiful stove (cast aluminum) and have thought of trying to convert it to gas or kerosene. I'd like to find a good source of burner parts. Seems like the chandlery catalogs never have the part you need.
