synthetic as standing riging?

Any one using synthetic for standing rigging?
Such as amsteel, amsteel blue, vectrus or endura.

The hot racing dinghy classes (I-14s, 49er's, etc.), so I'm told, are moving to spectra/vectran shrouds and stays
