Here's my bakyard project...

It will be built out of :

Industrial Formulators epoxies - Glue + Sealer

MDO Plywood - For bulkheads (bulkhead frame construction) + planking

4x8 - 3/4" = $68.80 (Canadian $)
4x8 - 1/2" = $49.12 (Canadian $)
African Mahogany - For the keels, crossbeams and frame meembers.

Ash (white) - For chines, sheer clamps, cleats, battens, web stiffeners, etc...

Nice web site- I built one a while back-

Had a major problem putting on the planking on the out side of the hull - ply just doesnt bend that way , and had to plaster on a lot of epoxy to fill the dents and buckles-

If you have not planked it yet ,try a test fit to make sure the planking will bend with out buckling.

Thought the hulls needed more displacement and the tunnel raised.

Also had difficulty rigging motors .

i can email a picture if you want

The boat was finished in late July 2005...

If you want to see more pictures, visit www.aquacat.ca. The website is presently only in French.
