Outer bottom batens

I am at the point where I am ready to put on the outer bottom batens,The plans call for putting them on with an epoxy fiberglass gasket or a bedding compound such as 3m 5200, any suggestions would be helpful,I am sure they will have to be removed at some point.I am using white oak.Thanks

I would use Dolfinite bedding coumpound, or one of the other 3M products I think the 3M 101 is removeable, 5200 is an adhesive which will make a permanent installation.
