Thanks to all who responded to my question about my centerboard pin installation. As luck would have it, I was able to exactly match Tidmarsh's drawings with a $10, off-the-shelf fitting called a Brass Garboard Drain Plug Assembly. The plug is 3/4" and my cb pin is 1/2" so it works perfectly.
