Interesting to look at the decay.
Ya know, lumber schooners of the same vintage, sunk by squalls on the Great Lakes, have been hauled up whole, complete with rigging intact and working winches...only to deteriorate wickedly when exposed to air.
Good story Margo. One thing amazes me, the danger of the venture. I mean the people who went on the water 100 years ago, not those who find their wrecks.

I haven't got it here. I'll check out which month. I think it's March or April. ( It takes a month or 2 for them to get here)

ya know, from what i've been reading on this forum, a little miracle CPES on those raised lumber schooners and they wouldn't deteriorate so wickedly..... ;)
but that's fodder for another tread.
