I think that's the term Chesapeake watermen use for ketch with a jib. Presumably a cross-planked deadrise hull. Built 1959, donated to the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. I remember seeing this boat at the CBMM dock in early June. Beautiful. Wonder how much the reserve is . . .

Pretty boat, but about 1/2 that cabin ought to go.

An update . . . the eBay buyer apparently backed out. (I don't know why.)

The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum had their annual auction of donated boats yesterday, and Ida May was on the block. The hammer came down at an even $11,000.

Turns out she wouldn't have made a good liveaboard for anyone over about 5'6", as there's not much headroom below despite her size. (I'm 6'4".)
