TurboCAD 3D ver 5, an old one, will read .bmp files so I scanned in the sail plan for Prairie Islander. Little scanner so 6 or 9 pieces had to be stitched together once scanned. From there I scaled it to full size and have found it to be quite handy to see how things are going to fit and look once installed. The anchor, for example, was scanned from CQR's site, scaled full size, and moved around to get some impression of how it might fit.

Since I was lucky to have barely enough room to loft the hull lines full zise being able to draw details on the screen has really been handy.

Looks good though. You certainly saved yourself a lot of work that way.

Is this nice boat yours, Norm?

Sorry Dave, this is all I have of the lines:

I have about everything else drawn out on one of a dozen or more layers, however.

Eirc, the boat is strip planked with western redcedar, 5/8" x 1-3/4" strips, glassed inside and out with 6 oz cloth, two layers below the water line. The frames are laminated Hondurous mahogany, the floors, 1-1/2" white ash. Deck, cabin sides, etc., is BS1088 okoume plywood with Hondurous mahogany trim. Almost all the metal is bronze except the tabernacle and gammon iron, which I welded up from mild steel.
