I bought several cans of the paint I've used for the last 15 years Saturday. When reading the label for recoat times I notice they are clearly labelled for "metal substrates only". I called the dealer this morninig and he was as surprised as I was. A call to the factory resulted in the information that the VOC requirements New York and California have resulted in relabelling the paint as unsuitable for wood. Nothing has changed but the label according to the factory. This is a general purpose oil based enamel that I've painted everything from boats to tractors with and have always liked the results and the cost.
