Ok starting at the bow we got the scroll work finished

Then working our way aft we got the window frames done and came up with a sun visor for the windshield that I think is about a 8 on the cute meter

And we got the aft bulkhead done for the pilot house and the doors mounted.

Now it may be ugly but it works I had to make an adapter for the steering wheel the helm has a ¾ tapered hole and the wheel has a 1in hole so I made this thing out of copper pipe.

Well done, Phil.

Congratulations.

And, as far as that adaptor goes, once the wheel's on, it'll likely look fine.

Phil,

You have to start your next project NOW! This way when you finish Floozie, you'll have something already going to fill in your time. I found that when I finished my boat that there was a huge hole that needed to be filled. As much as I love using my boat, I still miss all the work that consumed me for a year.

You do BEAUTIFUL work. Be proud.

Cool one the scrollwork, ditto on the visor. I'd worry about the copper turning ugly colors and making it difficult to get apart. There must be someone out here that could turn a proper bushing. What is that; tapered inside, cylinder outside, with a keyway.

You know, Phil, when I first heard you say you'd decided to name her "Floozie", I'm afraid I was less than enraptured with the idea. How could anybody call their boat a floozie!?! I even started to write a reply saying as much before remembering that one should never critisize another man's religion, wife or boat in ANY way! Now that I've seen her starting to come together, my thinking has changed 180 degrees. The name seems PERFECT now. You obviously had a clear vision of her in your mind's eye right from the start, and you've done an amazing job bringing it to fruition.

I still have no doubt whatsoever about your boat's "character", and I'm sure she'll wear her "unique" name with dignity and grace. And there's precious few boats that COULD! ;)
