View Full Version : Reinell 22
I have a chance to pick up a Reinell 22 for back storage fees, under $500. Besides opinions on this particular boat, both pro and con, I am trying to find copies of any owner's manuals or maintenance schedules that may have come with the boat. It seems to have held up fairly well after a year parked uncovered in the Arizona sun, but it will need some exterior cosmetic work. Below decks is where I'll need the help documentation might provide.
Any suggestions?

Nothing personal, but…
Please don't splatter your post across multiple forums here.
We've had a couple of cases of splatter the last few days.
When you do this, each conversation is separate entity, which kinda limits the utility of the thing, don't you think?
It's a small enough place that we'll all see it if you just post in one spot. Well, almost all of us will see it anyway—there's a few bilge rats down below that might not :D
Thank you.

Nicholas, MJA is a newbie, just like I and you were once -- only three posts so far, all, I think, on the same topic. He's not the first to have thought that maybe readers of one forum wouldn't necessarily read the others. I think a little more forebearance wouldn't really go astray.
If I had anything constructive to help him with I'd add it, but unfortunately I don't have. Let's hope someone else can answer his question for him though.
Thanks for the gentle guidance, gents. To be frank, I know better than to cross-post, but I'm in a bit of a pinch here. I have to decide today whether or not to take on this project and was hoping that a "shotgun" approach would get me the info I needed to render whatever decision I make an informed one. At least I wasn't broadsided for posting an inquiry about a glass boat! Regardless of today's outcome, I WILL be checking in here regularly as a reader.

Im a fool but if you dont have a boat yet, nows your chance. Doubt you would find any info, but someone may have a advert tucked away, but what is the point? Was the insides gutted? If so, I would find something similar to copy or guide you recreation.
I watched a Reinell of about 20' go to waste because of owner neglect. Watched it twice a day for many years, once it was full and I mean full of rain water, till it split a seam. It was a cute little boat. Had a very narrow windscreen and a fiberglass roof panel with a single, outside steering station. Looked like a baby Cris-Craft. Owner would not part with it for love or money.
If it is only a matter of cosmetics, and it suits your needs, grab it.
