eBay Alert - Wood Canoe

If anyone is interested in an old wood canoe that needs some work, but looks pretty classy check out eBay item #2250832463. Old Town possibly? I believe it's in PA.

Yes, it's an Old Town. Looks like an OTCA or HW model. Hard to say how old it is, but it didn't get that weathered sitting in a warehouse. Looks like a good fixer-upper if the wood is still sound. Lawn Ornament??? Yeah, maybe for about two years. Not anywhere near as rare as it's made out to be, but at the right price it could be a good buy.

Looks like a good project boat. The planking looks fairly decent. Age - the seats are hand caned (stern) and machine cane (bow). I suspect the sailing package was added later, so the bow might be a replacement seat. Old Town hand caned until Minimum Wage rules set in during the late 1930's. The diamond head carriage bolts suggest 1920 or later. So my guess is between 1920 and 1940.
