Pretty boat! It also looks like a nice efficient rig with plenty of power.

Thanks. Yes, she tends to have enough power.

Here are a a couple more from a day with some pretty good wind.

Yes, very nice indeed. And the narrow cabin means side decks you can actually use. How old?

JimD,

Yes the side decks are very usable. One of the many things I really like on the boat. It does cut down room inside, but you can sit down under the cabin. It was designed with mainly day sailing in mind, and interior space was not that important. Just needed space for the kids to take a nap or get out of the rain.

It was launched in Nov, '03 so it just about 2 years old.

I forgot to mention the construction method. It is 1/2" douglas fir strips and then 3 layers of 1/8" cedar veneers cold molded over the strips, then a layer of glass (6 oz if I remember correctly). The deck is 1/2 ply with a dynel. It is a very stout boat.

The hull sounds bullet proof. Paul Gartside calls for veneer over strip on some of his hulls, too, as I recall. A lot of work but very strong.
