YOREL (Leroy spelled backwards) was, like SCHEHEREZADE, built by Hodgdon Yachts in the mid 80's and will be having her teak decks renewed by the Hodgdon yard as one of their next projects.

??? That seems pretty drastic, so soon... I hope you mean "refinished", not "replaced"? :confused:

The local newspaper article wasn't clear about the extent of the work as far as I remember, but it's not unheard of for a teak deck that's cleaned regularly (perhaps scrubbed too hard) to become worn down so that bungs pop and leaks start. I have no reason to believe that's the case here, though.
