Madisonville/Oughtred Boat Show

Hello All,

I am interested in attending the Madisonville Boat Show in Louisiana in October. I would really like to see boats based upon the designs by Iain Oughtred, namely the Caledonia Yawl. Does anybody know if this particular boat, or other of his designs, are usually on display at this show?

I ordered plans for the Caledonia Yawl about a week ago and hope to start building in the spring.

Well, lemme see...If my granddaughter's birthday weren't scheduled for the same weekend and if the boat weren't tucked away in Texas to avoid hurricanes...Yep!, I would be there with my Caledonia yawl. Truth is, NOPE! I won't be there with my boat. Darn it! :eek:

Now, maybe you could get back over this way someday when my boat is back in her shed. In the New Orleans area, that is. Or maybe I could drag her east towards Florida sometime.
