3 bids. And the winner gets to buy the boat and sail it for this yahoo. I'm surprised he's not MLMing it.

I have been nearly burned on E-bay by the 'pre-approved bidder' requirement. Most are hoaxes that take you off-line to finish the deal. I would not do it with out more information.....

Be leary!!!

I'm out!

I was reading the spiel and saw this:

"by building a fast, revolutionary yacht"

Has no one ever thought that a fast yacht could win?

I have to pick up 2 or 3 loads of wood next week or I would kick in somthing.

It's no good buying or sponsoring this ACC boat, without first securing widely diverse and talented International personnel to crew. Home grown xenophobic crews are very ordinary.

Warren.

ps, Can I be the tactician, and if yes? ... could I suggest we employ at least 16 Kiwis.

So Warren - how exactly are they supposed to attract and hire the "widely diverse and talented international personnel" without major $$$$$ in the bank (or at least on the horizon)????

Margo, that's the trick. Buy the Crew then the boat. Offer Cootes and Butterworth more money, than they are making at Alinghi. Their track record says, they'll come across for a few extra bucks. It's no good having a boat that can't win.

Spending the most money, does not win ACC races, in fact it won't even win the Louis Vuitton.

Warren.

The fog is real. Nature's way of showing it's superiority: now you see it, now you don't... :D

I don't think eBay is the place to get an ACC sponsorship. As for the crew, I truly believe a really motivated amateur crew could beat a "proffesional" paid crew. If I had the millions, I'd go for it!
