If you please, click the following link to view any of three slide shows I put up:
http://www.picturecd.com/sharing/viewalbum.html?bm=32194 and let me know what happens. Can you view them, do they take too much memory or bandwidth for dial up connections, etc.
Thanks.

Norm, its slow as molasses in January on my T1 connection here at work. Had to dowload some viewer and then it seemed to just sit there when I tried to play the Humble Bee show. Bummer

Norm,
The 2.1mb download went fine on my T1 line. Then nothing when I tried each slide show. All kinds of harddrive noises and 50% CPU usage, but Nut N' Honey as far as slide shows went. When I closed that window all the CPU usage stopped.

Wow Norm, that was great! I felt like I was in your living room with the shades drawn. You sure know how to put together a slide show. I enjoyed those pics on Imagestation 2 years ago but that was even better!
All you dudes out there - figure out how to make this thing work - it'll be worth your efforts.

Never saw anything after about 20 mins on my T1. Killed it and moved on.

Huh? I've just got a cable modem and it ran smooth as silk. Did you guys click on the little thumnails? I like the picture spinning around when the telemarketer calls. And when Norm fades from the picture to just show the boat. I'll have to check out the boating one later - back to work.

I just went back again and was able to watch the Humble Bee slide show. This time it went fine and the website in genearl seemed to behave better.

As I confessed in an earlier thread, amaturish to be sure but it show what could be done. I still don't know how some of this stuff was done: http://www.photodex.com//sharing/spotlight.html . The humblebee show has been view 68 times. Somebody isn't sharing. tongue.gif Can you view the show without downloading something? The link above says a plugin is required to view the demo shows. True?

Yes - you have to download the Photodex player - total time on the DSL = < 2 minutes counting me clicking yes to this that and the other. [That was for player and files]
About half-way through the Wyoming trip now. :D
I've got our Eggemoggin pics in a show, but now I've got to go back and figure out a soundtrack and captions  Darn impossibly high standards.
Seriously folks, this is super user friendly software.
Yikes - there should be a warning before the toe shot !!!!

Norm, Something else for you to consider on your trip. Tall ships will be at Quonset Point, RI a week before the Wooden Boat Festival. Quonset Point is a former Naval Air Station and one of the things they have there now is an airplane museum.
