I met Andrew Benett in 1983 when he left London for Caribbean in his small yacht called Marguerite. He was sailing alone and during a storm he was rescued here in Portugal where he had Marguerite repaired. He was in his fifties by then. Years later I went to London but I was not able to find him at the given address. All these years I have been wondering if he is still alive. I thought that with the internet it would be easy to find something about him but unfortunately it hasn't been. As he had referred he would write about his trip, I have been searching for titles and authors in hope to find information.
Would anyone tell me what to do to find "Marguerite" and his owner, Andrew Benett?

There is a famous Bristol Channel pilot called Marguerite and also a Vertue.
Any idea of the boat size.

Hello Seayou77! I was so hopeful about finding Andrew Benett, I mean, I am still hopeful but I think "my" Andrew is older (seventy something). Anyway, as I am new here I don't know how to see the photograph which has the tale attached.
How can I do that, pease?
Best regards,
Lidia
