Basil and Gunnars Grand Day Out!

I was trying to find results for this years Blackburn Challenge. No luck so far, but I did find this great picture of fellow forumite Gunnar and his buddy Basil. You'll notice who's smart enough to be wearing his PFD!

Congrats on finishing the marathon of rowing races.

Do you get "Messing About In Boats"? They have pretty good coverage of the Blackburn Challenge every year. I think a subscription costs $24 a year - and it comes twice a month! Definitely the best value around in periodical literature. And every issue has a piece by Robb White and one by Phil Bolger and they've been running a series on small boat design by John Welsford.....Well you get the idea. They'll even send you a free trial issue if you ask for one.

I do get MAIB but they are less than timely. I've chatted with Bob Hicks at various events.

Still looking for results. Sorry about the picture, the webmaster for The Blackburn seems to be adjusting his photo albums. I'll give it a day or so and then see if I can get the PIc.

but they yanked the picture of Gunnar and Basil :rolleyes:

Guess I should have copied it when I had the chance.
