Now that the boat is finally out of the shed (for a few short months), we're dreaming up a dozen different interim uses. Some of these uses would be much more convenient if I don't bother to re-enclose the end wall.

I've already had this thing fly away on me once. I'd rather not have a repeat performance.

If I leave one end wall open, should I leave the other end wall enclosed, or should I just open both ends free to the wind?
Which is less likely to turn this thing into a bigass kite?

My instincts are telling me to lean in one particular direction, but I thought I'd solicit more informed opinions first.

I'd open both ends. Wind blowing in with nowhere to go increases the air pressure inside compared to outside. That's what makes it fly.

I've been thinking about future uses for mine too. The inside has a kind of cathedral look. How 'bout holding revival meetings. Take up a collection. Could be a way to get some of the money back spent building the boat. Call it Noah's Chapel. :D

All you need to do is start building anouther boat. If you build 2 boats in there the cost per boat of the building goes down by 50%. you could use this savings to start on the new boat project.

ChrisChris has the right idea. With that extra cash in your pocket you could purchase a bigger shed to accomodate the construction of a bigger boat, or two smaller ones simultaneously.

Don't think I've got another one in me. This one took about 8000 hrs. It's time to sell out and go cruising.....maybe a dingy though.....
