I'm building this model and the plan clearly shows the steerboard on the port side. Did they mount this board on either side ?

What with most being right-handed, the steerboard was commonly placed on the right side.
I suppose a lefty might have done otherwise.
I suspect in this case, it may have been just an error...

If the model is supposed to be THE Gokstad ship then the photographic evidence on the web seems to be pretty clear:

Thanks Bruce, I thought as much. Just shows how some of these kit makers can scew things up > I'll be sure to mount it on the stb side. All in all a nice little model to pine away the winter doldrums.
BTW are they going to do anything with the Sloop Providence for this year,or even basic maintenance for her
? :confused:
I heard the $ for her are way short and the governing board is keen on golf not replicas. :(
